Drug /
alcohol related crashes and injury
crashes had the same time pattern,
peaking during the evening hours (6 PM to
11 PM) and 1 PM. Fatal drug /
alcohol related crashes followed a
different pattern with peaks at 4 PM, 6
PM and 7 PM.
Table 7.03 shows the number and rate per
day of drug / alcohol related crashes for
each month. September and
October had the highest rate of drug /
alcohol related crashes per day. July and
October tied for the highest rate of drug
/ alcohol related injury crashes per day
while February had the highest rate of
fatal drug / alcohol related crashes.
