Figure
5.01 shows the breakdown of motorcycle
crash severity. The majority of
motorcycle crashes resulted in an injury
(86%) compared to 37% of all crashes.
Three percent (3%) of motorcycle crashes
resulted in a fatality. This is slightly
higher than the overall percentage of
fatal crashes (1%).
Table 5.01 shows the rates of motorcycle
crashes, injury crashes and fatal crashes
for each county. The top three counties
for motorcycle crashes and motorcycle
injury crashes based on miles traveled
were Daggett, Morgan and Wayne. The top
three counties for fatal crashes were
Wasatch, Garfield and Duchesne.
