3.09 shows that drivers between the ages
15 to 19 years old represented the
greatest percentage of drivers involved
in a pedestrian crash (20%). The
largest percentage of drivers involved in
fatal pedestrian crashes were in the age
groups 15 to 19 years old (16%) and 25 to
29 years old (16%).
Over half (54%) of drivers involved in
pedestrian crashes were male (Table
3.10). This is slightly smaller
than the percentage of all crashes
involving a male driver (58%). Male
drivers represented a large percentage
(74%) of drivers involved in fatal
pedestrian crashes.
